PITCHERS
I've always been a fan of pitchers. There's something special about the form ... the graceful curve of the pouring spout, the way the handle joins the body of the pitcher ... even the scale of the thing. I love 'em! Many people buy my pitchers to use as vases. I'm fine with that -- they get to have double function, and I am a functional potter, after all. I hate to hear about people who buy them and keep them on a shelf, or in a cabinet, just to look at. My favorites are the people who use them on the dinner table every night. Some use them for water or milk, some put wine in them. Just so you use them, that's my point. I've known people to use them as coffee pots, with a Melitta-style filter cone on top. They're perfectly safe to use with hot liquids since they are dishwasher safe, oven- and microwave-proof, and lead-free. I make faceted and round pitchers, and the round ones come in two styles -- plain and swoopy (not presently pictured). More or less, they all hold between two and three quarts of your favorite liquid They make wonderful serving sets with either my faceted mugs or roundos (See the mugs page). Prices:
