Logos: What's Your Sign?

Do you have a logo? It could be a graphic that identifies you or your company. Or it could be a particular type treatment. A logo is simply the visual thing that is your marketing identifier.

Designing an effective logo is a special skill. Just having a pretty bit of design really isn't enough. Remember, the goal is communication, and your logo should communicate something useful about your business: your name, the kind of business, location ... something. If it doesn't, maybe it's just cluttering up your marketing efforts.

Often, the best logo is the name of your company, done in a distinctive graphic style.
